AWS Network Firewall Adds VisionHeight Managed Rule Groups
Amazon Web Services has added VisionHeight managed rule groups to AWS Network Firewall, expanding the catalog of third-party security protections available to customers, available through AWS Marketplace: Zero-Day Threat Protection, and Noisy Scanners and Tor Protection.
Zero-Day Threat Protection proactively blocks malicious IP infrastructure before it appears on public blocklists. Tor Protection reduces firewall log noise by blocking communication with active Tor exit nodes and filtering traffic from known high-volume scanning sources.
The managed rules, provided through AWS Network Firewall, are designed to help organizations detect and block network threats without requiring customers to create and maintain their own custom rule sets.
AWS said customers can deploy the VisionHeight rule groups alongside existing firewall policies to improve visibility into network activity and streamline threat prevention. The managed service is intended to simplify firewall administration while helping organizations keep pace with evolving security risks. Managed rules for AWS Network Firewall are available from AWS Marketplace sellers including Check Point, Fortinet, Infoblox, Lumen, Rapid7, ThreatSTOP, Trend Micro and VisionHeight.
