New 'AWS Solutions' Solve Common Cloud Problems
Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) announced a new AWS Solutions program that provides packaged resources to address problems common to cloud users and build projects faster.
"AWS Solutions are technical reference implementations built and vetted by AWS Architects and AWS Partners, designed to help customers solve the common problems faced by their peers around the world," the company said in a post last week. "AWS Solutions are built to be operationally effective, performant, reliable, secure, cost effective, and be Well-Architected."
Every AWS Solution comes with resources including:
- Detailed architecture
- Deployment guide
- Instructions for both automated and manual deployments
The solutions cover a wide range of industry and technology topics. For some use-case examples, there are solutions showing how to:
- Collect and process connected vehicle data with AWS
- Simulate fleets of IoT devices
- Automate common cloud operational practices
- Dynamically manipulate image files in real-time
Dozens of topics are covered in the solutions, ranging from analytics and application integration to serverless and storage.
Most of the solutions were created by AWS, with some co-developed by its partners, such as Trend Micro, Cloudwick Technologies and Pariveda.
The new AWS Solutions site also features the Solution Space program. AWS said it "offers scalable and secure customer-ready solutions built jointly by AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners and AWS. The solutions are organized by use case and help drive customer success in specialized solution areas. Participating partners hold designations from the AWS Competency Program, demonstrating technical proficiency."
