On-Demand Cloud Connectivity Solution Works with AWS
CenturyLink, a communications provider to enterprises, announced a new on-demand connectivity solution, noting it works with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS).
The new service is called Cloud Connect Dynamic Connections, providing real-time networking provisioning to help enterprises link their datacenters with cloud providers.
The company emphasized that AWS is one such prominent provider that works with the offering. "Customers can now dynamically connect across hybrid cloud workloads including their private cloud and data center locations, as well as within a cloud provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)," the company said in a statement. "AWS GovCloud (U.S.) is also included in the connectivity options."
The dynamic connections are managed through a secure portal or through API integrations, helping enterprises spin up and delete private MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 connections to cloud platforms as needed and working across hybrid cloud implementations that can include private clouds and datacenters.
