Avnet Adds AWS Solutions to Cloud Marketplace
Avnet Inc. announced it's now offering solutions powered by Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) through its one-stop cloud solutions shop.
The company claims its platform offers cloud solution wares from multiple best-in-breed suppliers and providers, supplying flexibility, neutrality and functionality and letting customers combine software and infrastructure into one complete offering and evaluate multiple providers to get the right solution.
Its technology solution categories include infrastructure services, backup and disaster recovery, productivity and collaboration, app hosting and management, software development and many more.
"The Avnet Cloud Marketplace features integrated, packaged solutions powered by AWS, such as backup and disaster recovery solutions that integrate NetApp and Veritas software with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon Glacier, and collaboration solutions that single-click deploy AWS resources configured to support a scalable and redundant SharePoint implementation," the company said in a statement last week.
Avnet said the marketplace's integrated solutions are packaged and channel-ready, aligned with how customers want to pay for cloud services, including both consumption- and subscription-based payment models. The company's marketplace also features branded storefronts that partners can deploy quickly so they can immediately and cost-effectively feature bundled cloud offerings with their own IP and services.
