Talend Puts Entire Big Data Portfolio on AWS
Talend, a Big Data specialist with several data processing and data integration products and services running on the Apache Hadoop framework, recently announced it was going "all in" on the Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), making all of its solutions available on the cloud platform.
Having recently achieved Advanced Technology Partner status with AWS, Talend last week announced its Talend Integration Cloud has passed an auditing process "has demonstrated proven support for customers evaluating and using big data tools, techniques, and technologies on AWS," further the process of effectively making all of the company's wares available on AWS.
"By going 'All In' with AWS, Talend has chosen to have its complete product line run on AWS and for it to serve as the core platform for its iPaaS offering," Talend said in a statement last week. "For example, the latest release of Talend Integration Cloud extends the company's unique ability to allow IT organizations to quickly 'spin up and spin down' Big Data and data integration workloads running on Amazon Redshift or Amazon EMR. Talend Integration Cloud also allows developers to empower departments across the enterprise with Spark-powered, real-time analytics."
Talend's new status as an Advanced Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network, along with previous certification AWS Big Data Competency Partner, demonstrates its commitment to supporting many AWS products, such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon Elastic MapReduce (Amazon EMR), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Kinesis and Amazon Aurora.
"Talend's new Advanced Technology Partner status in the APN and AWS Big Data Competency certification will allow the company to rapidly add new features to their iPaaS solution and leverage the scalability, multitude of database services and enterprise-grade security that is provided by AWS to help companies accelerate their move from legacy data infrastructure to AWS Cloud," the company said.
