Carpathia Takes On AWS Management
Carpathia Hosting Inc. released new software to manage Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) cloud workloads in hybrid compute infrastructure scenarios along with its own hosted projects.
The new Cloud Operations Platform for Amazon Web Services provides a "single-pane-of-glass" view of cloud resources -- including AWS, dedicated and private -- in its consolidated portal.
"Enterprises are faced with expanding complexity associated with managing hybrid compute environments and those workloads that move between third-party clouds, private clouds and hosted infrastructure," said Carpathia CEO Peter Weber. "Carpathia's differentiation is managing complex infrastructure, and our Cloud Operations Platform is purpose-built for customers that seek to have a single service provider manage their entire hybrid compute infrastructure."
The management tool provides streamlined cloud operation such as stopping, starting and pausing AWS resources; improved performance reporting with metrics for cloud infrastructure and hosted workloads; ticketing and event integration; and simplified asset management that lets customers manage AWS workloads in the same way as any other workloads under Carpathia management.
Dulles, Va.-based Carpathia also announced it has become a consulting partner in the AWS Partner Network and a member of the Amazon Web Services Channel Reseller Program, enabling it to serve as a one-top stop for all AWS management functionality, including provisioning, managing and billing AWS resources.
