AWS MSP Mission Debuts After Partner Mergers

A new managed cloud services provider formed from the merger of three Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners has emerged this week under the brand "Mission."

Mission, which officially launched this Wednesday, has its roots in a three-pronged M&A deal that closed this past June between Reliam, Stratalux and G2 Tech Group, all of which were members of the AWS Partner Network (APN) as Advanced Consulting Partners.

At the time of the merger, Simon Anderson, CEO of the newly combined company, described it as a "deliberate and strategic choice" that takes advantage of the three managed services providers' "similarly-aligned cultures and the same viewpoint on how AWS can empower businesses."

In the months since the merger, the combined company has experienced six-fold revenue growth while doubling its customer count to 175 and tripling its headcount across its two offices in Los Angeles and Boston.

Mission claims over 90 AWS certifications to its name, as well as APN competencies in DevOps, life sciences and health care. It touts itself as a manged services provider (MSP) and consultancy with deep expertise in AWS.

"We have a vision to guide and support organizations worldwide to confidently embrace and leverage the transformative power of cloud computing, and to do good for themselves, their teams, their customers, and their stakeholders," Anderson said in prepared statement Wednesday.

Mission's target industries include "media and entertainment, mobile gaming, digital media, education, consumer goods, marketing, ecommerce, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) verticals," according to the announcement.

Its offerings revolve around six areas: managed cloud services (including round-the-clock support, monitoring and backups), DevOps, security, application performance, professional services and "cloud optimization."
