Paul Barnhill, Observability Practice Lead, Deloitte

Paul is a Managing Director specializing in Modern Delivery and Cloud Engineering with over 25 years of experience in software development leveraging agile methodology, infrastructure operations, and leading large cross-functional technology delivery teams. He has demonstrated skills in addressing complex problems by seeing beyond symptoms and addressing the root cause. ​ He is experienced in a broad range of cloud and hybrid-platforms technologies and has many more years of program management experience assisting his clients with Digital, grid modernization and infrastructure protection programs.


Alois Reitbauer, Chief Technology Strategist, Dynatrace

Alois Reitbauer is Chief Technology Strategist at Dynatrace. He is responsible for all open source initiatives like OpenTelemetry and co-founder of the Keptn and OpenFeature projects. Alois also contributed to several standards and co-founded the W3C distributed tracing working group. He also leads Dynatrace’s next-generation research initiatives on cloud-native technologies, security, and large-scale data management. Alois also created the OpenSource canvas, which helps with strategic planning for open source projects and advised startups and scaleups on advancing their technology organizations.


David Potes, Sr. Mgr, Data & AI Solution Architects, AWS

David Potes manages a team of Data & AI technical experts at Amazon Web Services. He and his team provide technical guidance, design advice and thought leadership to some of the most successful AWS partners on the planet. His deepest expertise spans data & AI security, storage and SaaS business applications. Over the last 19 years, he’s brought an intense customer focus to challenging and deeply technical roles in multiple industries. He holds both a world record and a number of patents.

Erik Landsness is Director of Solutions Engineering in the Global Center of Excellence at Dynatrace, where he helps customers on their journey to automated advanced observability. He started out in technology in software education before moving into operations, overseeing support centers in the web hosting, colocation and CDN spaces before moving into corporate IT as the Director of NOC and SRE at Beachbody. He has always had a passion for the customer, and he believes that building automation engines is the best way to reduce human error, speed time to deliver new features, and deliver the best customer experiences possible. Erik decided to join Dynatrace, so he could work with other companies and help them along the path to automated observability.
